Welcome

This site is all about my pursuit to be a writer, photographer, and adventurer. Along the way, I'd like to establish a well-rounded lifestyle that revolves around the outdoors, freedom, and simplicity.

Even if you only spend a few minutes exploring this site, you'll quickly figure out what all of my friends and family have understood for years - Jim sure does like to communicate. At this point, consider yourself lucky that you get my concise written ramblings that are much less lengthy than my verbal onslaught. I can't help it that I have a higher than normal energy level (I believe doctors call it ADHD, I call if fun).

Writing and photography are certainly my favorite forms of expressing myself. In addition to simply enjoying those pursuits, I like that they allow me the opportunity to edit my thoughts and visions before sharing them with the public.

The adventure part of my title relates to my endless childlike fascination with exploring new places, learning new things, and enjoying all that the world has to offer. Although all areas of life interest me, I certainly have a fascination with nature and the outdoors. I don't want to go getting all mystical sounding or anything but it's almost as if the outdoors is calling me "home" - some sore of deep-rooted primal passion and spiritual tuning. All I know is that as soon as I step outside, simultaneous feelings of excitement, enlightenment, and comfortability wash over me.

And anyone who gets to know me would say that I'm a free spirit. All I know is that I follow my interests, in a uniquely Jim way, regardless of the "norm". Don't get me wrong, I fit into society (for the most part), I just don't get locked into societal norms as easily as the average person might.
